Where is my order?

Can I change my shipping address?

Once an order is placed, it is automatically sent to our warehouse team right away, so we're unable to make any changes to it.

Can I cancel my order?

How do I return my order?

We understand that it doesn’t work out every time. To get started with a return, you can visit https://coola.loopreturns.com/#/ and enter your order number and zip code. Follow a few simple steps, submit, and we'll take care of the rest!

When will I receive my refund?

As soon as we receive and review the returned item, we will issue your refund. For Green Returns, you can expect your refund to be processed within 48 hours of your return request.

What is a Green Return? 

A Green Return doesn't require you to send a product back.

Returning products you ordered online can be a real hassle. Typically, companies require you to package everything up, slap a return label on it, get it to a shipper, and then send it back. Some companies even require you to pay for the postage yourself!

COOLA is different. Because of our commitment to the environment and our customers, eligible COOLA customers and product returns may qualify for a Green Return.

If your order qualifies for a Green Return, you don't have to send your product back. In fact, we encourage you to pass it along to a family member or friend who may enjoy the benefits of the COOLA product.

Why was my order canceled?

If your COOLA.com order was unexpectedly canceled, chances are our fraud filters marked your order as fraudulent. This is not a reflection on you. We take customer and data security very seriously and employ sensitive settings. Contact us if you have any questions.

Can I buy COOLA using HSA/FSA?

Yes, you can use an HSA/FSA debit card on our website. You can also request an itemized receipt from us if you need it as proof of purchase.

Shipping

How long does shipping take? 

Orders typically process within 1–2 business days. Shipping times vary based on location and selected shipping method.

If you are located within the contiguous USA, the expected shipping time is 3-5 days. If you are located in Alaska, Hawaii, or offshore U.S. territories, the shipping time can be up to 4 weeks.

When significant weather events in the United States impact the shipping hubs of fulfillment and shipping partners, we sometimes experience delays in processing and delivery.

Do you offer international shipping? 

We currently only ship to U.S. states (including Alaska and Hawaii) and territories (including Puerto Rico). Unfortunately, we cannot ship orders to other countries, including Canada, at this time.

Do you ship to APO/FPO military bases?

We do ship to APO/FPO addresses; however, these shipments may experience extensive delivery times.

Free shipping on orders over $50

Ground shipping will be waived at checkout for orders over $50 (after discounts, before taxes). A $6 Flat Rate Shipping on orders under $50.

What carrier do you use for shipping?

All COOLA orders ship via FedEx or USPS, depending on the contents and weight of your package. Orders shipping to PO Boxes will be sent via USPS.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

We love that you can't wait to get your new COOLA products!

Currently, we cannot update or expedite shipping times. The good news is that we ship almost everything using a two-day shipping service (where available, of course). Exceptions include Hawaii, Alaska, & PO box/FPO orders.

Understanding chemical vs. mineral sunscreen

At COOLA, we offer consumers a wide range of feel-good mineral and non-mineral sunscreen options. With the goal of preventing skin cancer, we believe the most effective sunscreen is the one you’ll love wearing every day, which is why we are committed to creating products that feel great on the skin.

There are two kinds of sunscreen filters – mineral and non-mineral – that work in different ways to keep you safe.

Mineral sunscreens create a physical barrier on the skin that blocks UV rays by reflecting them away from the skin. At COOLA, our mineral collection uses coated Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide filters. We combine these filters with genre-defying technology that allows our formulas to rub on sheer and feel lightweight, all while delivering powerful broad-spectrum coverage, even for sensitive skin.

Non-mineral (also known as chemical) filters are FDA-approved ingredients such as Homosalate, Octocrylene, Octisalate, and Avobenzone, that absorb UV rays, convert them into heat, and release them. Chemical sunscreens are often desired because they offer a much more transparent finish, a lighter feel, and a wider variety of applications on the skin. At COOLA, we take the FDA’s safety regulations seriously and adhere to their strict regulatory guidelines that are designed to ensure non-mineral filters are photostable and don’t break down. We also aim to use the smallest amount of non-mineral filters possible by optimizing their performance with our proprietary plant-derived technology.

Can I use COOLA body sunscreen on my face?

The skin on your face is different than the skin on the rest of your body and might be more sensitive. Our face sunscreens are formulated with this in mind, however, it is safe to use the body sunscreen on the face. We recommend a patch test before applying it all over your face.

Will COOLA products clog my pores?

COOLA face formulas are formulated to be non-comedogenic, meaning they will not clog your pores! We're very picky about our ingredients, and all COOLA products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind and are dermatologist tested.

Can I use COOLA while pregnant?

First, congratulations!

Now, to answer your question. Yes, all COOLA products are safe for use during pregnancy as well as while nursing. Before using COOLA products, however, we highly recommend reaching out to your physician for guidance. Every person and pregnancy is different, and it's important to have your healthcare professional address any specific concerns.

Is there aerosol in your sunscreen sprays?

No, we do not use aerosol. COOLA is committed to providing our users with the safest sunscreen options. That’s why we avoid harmful aerosols in our spray cans, which can be detrimental to both health and the environment. Instead, we use air compression technology, making our spray cans safe for use on and around the face. This innovative bag and valve system ensures you can use every last drop of sunscreen!

Can I use COOLA on my baby?

Yes, COOLA is safe to use on babies over 6 months old. However, we always recommend patch testing or checking with your pediatrician before trying a new product on a baby or child.

Is the Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 safe for color treated hair?

We’ve done our best to formulate our Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 with color-protecting ingredients as well as ingredients that defend from the damaging effects of UV. However, recently bleached hair can react with sunscreen actives, which can cause discoloration. For specific concerns, we recommend consulting your hairstylist before use.

Are COOLA products vegan?

All COOLA products are vegan-friendly.

Where are your products made?

All COOLA formulas are made and bottles filled in the USA.

Apply sunscreen to dry skin 15 minutes before going outdoors. Use sunscreen year-round, whether it's sunny or cloudy.

How much sunscreen should I use?

1 ounce of sunscreen (about two tablespoons) is recommended when in a swimsuit or minimally dressed. Also, add a nickel-size dollop to your neck and face.
