San Diego, California is not nicknamed “America’s Finest City” for no reason. The beautiful beaches, delicious food and friendly people are just some of the many reasons why San Diego is loved by so many. Located in the northern region of San Diego County, COOLA is a quintessential slice of California life. We embody the best parts of living here: a fusion of organic wellness, an outdoor, active lifestyle, and supporting local and diverse communities. Through these values, we strive to give you the BEST products and the San Diego culture that surrounds us is definitely a huge influence in that process.
While it’s easy to get caught up in sandy-white, picture perfect beaches, there is a lot more to San Diego than what meets the eye! Should you find yourself in San Diego, and you absolutely should, here are some of our favorite things to do:
Go to Mission Beach
Mission Beach is a great place for people of all ages, as there is something for everyone there! Not only is the sand extra white and the water is exxxxtra blue, Belmont Park is just steps away from the sand. A fun, free amusement park for people of all ages, Belmont Park is packed full of rides, food, ice cream, games, prizes, stores and more! Along the pier is the Wavehouse, home of all things entertainment. There is live music, food, drinks, and man-made surf overlooking the beach!
Visit Westfield UTC
Westfield UTC La Jolla just completed a major renovation, adding around 90 news stores and restaurants. When we say this mall is absolutely incredible, we mean it. This mall has everything you could ever want: trendy stores, a speakeasy, delicious cuisine, gourmet coffee, ice cream, a Soul Cycle, a movie theater, an international bakery and more. You could spend hours on end here and not even hit half of it. Can you say shop til you drop?

Take a walk on the beach and watch the sunset
With miles of beaches along the San Diego coastline, it is nearly impossible to resist the beauty. While this is such a simple activity, the bliss of the gentle ocean breeze and the shades of orange and pink make for nothing short of a beautiful relaxing evening.
Visit Coronado Island
Just across the San Diego Bay is Coronado, a peninsula, but referred to as “Coronado Island.” Coronado is the perfect place to take a bike tour, go kayaking or paddleboarding, or take a walk. The water is calm and island is small, making it easily accessible and safe. Check out the Hotel Del during Christmas time for fun decorations and ice skating on the beach -- yes, you read that correctly. Fun fact: The first driver across the Coronado Bridge was none other than Ronald Reagan in 1969! The Hotel Del -- the largest wooden structure in the United States -- became a popular spot for political figures and celebrities as time went on.

Visit Petco Park
No, not “where the pets go.” We’re talking baseball! Unwind with a day at the ballpark by watching the San Diego Padres. Petco Park, built in 2004, is a beauty in itself, not to mention it’s always a fun day to crack open a cold one with friends and watch some ball. Pro tip: Check out Seaside Market inside the stadium and get the cardiff crack. You’re welcome.
Fun San Diego Fact: San Diego produces the largest number of avocados in the United States. You’re welcome, America.
